“Since 1993, the mission of School on Wheels has never wavered: to enhance educational opportunities for children who are experiencing homelessness from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our goal is to shrink the gaps in their learning and provide them with the highest level of education possible.”
Our organization, SOWUSC, is dedicated to supporting SOW's mission by providing USC students with meaningful opportunities to give back to their community. By engaging in activities such as tutoring, fundraising, and promoting awareness for K-12 students who are experiencing transitional living, our students are able to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Moreover, we are passionate about reshaping and challenging negative attitudes towards homelessness by amplifying the voices of these students and shedding light on their stories. Together, we can work towards building a more empathetic and inclusive society.
